Cambridge's Original Ghost Walk
"Every cobblestone has a story. Some of them just refuse to stay buried."
For over a decade, I've walked these streets after dark, piecing together the forgotten, the macabre, and the unexplained. What started as a fascination with local folklore became a full-time calling.
Every tour draws on years of archival research, conversations with historians, and more than a few encounters I still can't fully explain. This isn't a performance. It's a genuine exploration of the strange and unsettling history woven into this city's oldest walls.
I hold a degree in History from the University of Cambridge and I'm a member of the Society for Psychical Research. My tours have been featured in the Cambridge Independent, TimeOut, and Atlas Obscura.
Three distinct experiences, each revealing a different layer of Cambridge after dark.
The essential Cambridge ghost tour. Two hours through the city's most haunted lanes, churchyards, and college grounds. Hear the stories they don't tell on the daytime tours.
The brutal truth behind the beautiful facades. Medieval justice, plague pits, public executions, and the grim realities of 800 years of academic ambition.
An exclusive evening for your group. Tailored route, extended access to restricted areas, and the chance to use professional paranormal investigation equipment.
Some of the places you'll visit. Each one carries centuries of history, and not all of it rests easy.
Cambridge's oldest college is also its most haunted. The Combination Room is said to host the ghost of a bursar who took his own life. Fellows have reported objects moving, doors slamming, and a figure in a dark gown standing at the end of the hall.
One of only four medieval round churches still standing in England. Built by the Knights Templar, it has witnessed nearly a thousand years of ceremony, conflict, and whispered prayer. Visitors regularly report sudden cold spots and the sound of chanting.
Famous for Watson and Crick's DNA announcement, but the upstairs rooms tell a darker story. RAF airmen stationed nearby during WWII left their names burned into the ceiling with candles and lighters. Some say the most restless spirits here never left.
"Genuinely the best guided experience I've had in any city. The stories were meticulously researched and delivered with real passion. Not gimmicky at all, just properly compelling storytelling."
"We booked the private investigation for a hen party expecting a laugh. What we got was something far more interesting. I'm still not sure what happened in that cellar, but I haven't stopped thinking about it."
"As a local, I thought I knew this city. I was wrong. Two hours and I feel like I've been introduced to Cambridge for the first time. The plague pit section was absolutely chilling."
